About Litigon
A Practice Built on Structure and Precision
Litigon is a Kuala Lumpur–based legal practice dedicated to commercial dispute resolution. We assist businesses and individuals in navigating litigation, alternative processes, and appellate proceedings with considered care.
Back to HomeOur Story
Founded in Kuala Lumpur
Litigon began as a response to a gap in the market — clients facing serious commercial disputes who needed not only capable legal representation, but a structured, transparent process from the very first meeting.
The practice was established in the Golden Triangle district of Kuala Lumpur, positioned to serve both domestic Malaysian businesses and internationally connected clients with commercial interests in the country. Over more than a decade, Litigon has developed a reputation for methodical preparation, measured advocacy, and honest assessment of each client's position before and throughout any proceedings.
We do not pursue volume. Each matter receives the attention it requires, and our team works directly with clients rather than delegating engagement to junior staff. That consistency of contact has remained central to how we operate.
Our Mission
To provide legal representation that is thorough in its preparation, clear in its communication, and grounded in a realistic understanding of what the law and the courts can and cannot achieve.
We believe that the value of legal advice is not measured by the complexity of the language used, but by how well a client understands their position and options at every stage of a matter. Clarity is part of the service.
"The structure of a case matters as much as the law that governs it. We spend considerable time at the outset ensuring the framework is sound before a single document is filed."

Standards of Practice
Thorough Case Assessment
Before accepting a matter, we conduct a structured assessment of the facts, applicable law, and the client's realistic position. We do not encourage proceedings where the grounds are uncertain.
Document and Evidence Integrity
All documents and evidence are handled with the procedural rigour required by Malaysian court rules. Proper authentication, disclosure, and preservation standards are observed throughout every matter.
Regular Client Communication
Clients receive updates at each procedural milestone. We do not operate in a way that leaves clients uncertain about the status of their matter or next steps for extended periods.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
All client information is handled under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Matter-specific information is shared only with personnel directly involved in that engagement.
Bar Council Compliance
All practice activities are conducted in accordance with the Legal Profession Act 1976 and the rules of the Malaysian Bar. Ethical obligations are treated as non-negotiable, not as constraints.
Procedural Timeliness
Filing deadlines, response periods, and court directions are tracked with care. Missed procedural steps are among the most avoidable sources of harm to a client's case.
Commercial Dispute Resolution in Malaysia
The Malaysian court system provides multiple avenues for resolving commercial disagreements, from the Sessions Court through to the Federal Court. Disputes concerning contracts, debts, corporate governance, and professional liability each carry their own procedural requirements and strategic considerations. Litigon's practice is concentrated in this space, where the intersection of legal procedure and commercial reality requires careful, experienced handling.
Alternative dispute resolution has grown substantially in Malaysia over the past decade, with the government and judiciary both actively encouraging mediation and arbitration as supplements to court proceedings. The Asian International Arbitration Centre, the Malaysian Mediation Centre, and sector-specific adjudication processes offer parties meaningful options. Selecting the right process — and preparing appropriately for it — requires an understanding of both the legal framework and the practical dynamics of each forum.
Appellate work in Malaysia demands a distinct discipline from trial advocacy. The grounds of appeal must be carefully identified in the lower court's decision, the record must be properly compiled, and submissions must address the legal issues with precision. Litigon's appellate team approaches each appeal as a distinct matter, not merely as a continuation of the proceedings below.
